Center for the Science of Moral Understanding
Dr. Womick is a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Center for the Science of Moral Understanding and the Deepest Beliefs Lab at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. His psychological research concerns political attitudes and behaviors, particularly how these relate to the experience of meaning in life. Dr. Womick’s work has focused on psychological hurdles that inhibit pluralistic attitudes and behaviors. One of these hurdles is that pluralism characterizes the world as nuanced and complex, engendering uncertainty, and in turn threatens the experience of meaning in life. His current research leverages these insights to enhance the appeal of pluralism.
