BIOGRAPHY
Christen is the program officer for the Acton Family Giving’s Empathy Building Initiative, where she actively learns about the power of stories and its role in creating connection across lines of difference and fostering understanding. As part of AFG’s grantmaking approach, she seeks to center the grantee, be open and transparent, and minimize any burden often associated with donor-grantee relationships. Her prior work and experiences have focused on the fundamental right to education and healthcare, through a lens that values and uplifts human dignity. She is believes in the inherent good of the individual and the electric force of the collective will.
